Author Guidelines

Author guidelines can be obtained in the Submission Guidelines and Instructions document.

Submission Preparation Checklist (All items required)

•	The Corresponding Undergraduate Author has carefully reviewed all of the requirements outlined in the Submission Guidelines and Instructions and has made appropriate changes in his/her submission to reflect this careful review.
•	The submission has not been previously published in another undergraduate-level journal nor is under consideration for publication in another undergraduate-level journal; or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor.
•	All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://cusj.columbia.edu) are activated and ready to click.
•	The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); with figures and tables placed within the text, rather than at the end.
•	The submission file is in Microsoft Word Document (DOC) or Rich Text Format (RTF). If the file was written in LaTeX, both the LaTeX and PDF files must be uploaded as Supplementary Files.
•	References in the document are formatted according to the Manuscript Formatting Guidelines outlined in the Submission Guidelines and Instructions.
•	The text meets this journal's stylistic requirements outlined in the Submission Guidelines and Instructions.
•	Line and page numbers are included on each page as outlined in the Submission Guidelines and Instructions.

Authors who write articles selected for publication in the CUSJ will retain all rights to the publication except the right to publish that work in any form in another undergraduate level journal.

By virtue of their publication in the CUSJ, these articles are free to use with proper attribution.
