Research Articles
	Open Submissions Peer-Reviewed	Indexed Research Support Tool
	Descriptions of original research addressing an interesting and novel question in a field of science. These articles will compose the majority of the CUSJ.

Letters
	Open Submissions Peer-Reviewed	Indexed Research Support Tool
	Letters are brief accounts of original research that once published will be of interest to scientists in other fields. These shorter articles will often represent research encompassing a portion of a larger project.

Mini-Reviews
	Open Submissions Peer-Reviewed	Indexed Research Support Tool
	In-depth reviews of a narrow scientific topic. Only exceedingly high-quality submissions will be considered for publication; term papers are discouraged. Authors should have directly relevant research experience concerning the topic discussed.

Commentary
	Open Submissions Peer-Reviewed	Indexed Research Support Tool
	In-depth reviews of a narrow scientific topic encompassing an author’s scientifically coherent and cumulative novel interpretation of works cited in the commentary. Only exceedingly high-quality submissions will be considered for publication; term papers are ineligible for publication. Authors should have significant amounts of directly relevant research experience concerning the topic discussed.

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
