09/06/07: NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2007-2008 EDITORIAL REVIEW BOARD |
Please note that positions will begin to be filled following the September 18 deadline. In light of this fact, please submit your application as soon as possible within this timeframe. Additionally, please reference the CUSJ Organizational Documents for more information concerning position responsibilities.
Applications to join the Editorial Review Board will be welcomed from graduate and undergraduate students from the Morningside and Medical Center campuses. Columbia College, SEAS, Barnard, GS, and Post-baccalaureate pre-meds, and graduate students in sciences or medical sciences are welcome to apply. The Editorial Review Board members will be responsible for the annual double-blind review of submitted manuscripts. Students interested in joining the Editorial Review Board should have demonstrated interest and scholarship in a scientific field and should be interested in being at the heart of the CUSJ's credibility; the Editorial Review Board is the foundation upon which the CUSJ will build its credibility.
Associate Editors, through a significant time commitment, will work directly with the Editor-in-Chief, will be responsible for knowledge of multiple scientific disciplines, and will distribute submitted manuscripts through the Journal's double-blind peer-review process. A limited number of Associate Editors will be chosen to represent the Journal on its highest administrative level.
The CUSJ staff welcomes applications from Columbia students. We are looking forward to meeting all prospective board members.
